controls technician job description

Duties: 

• Installing DDC (Direct Digital Control) controllers

• Low voltage wiring

• Troubleshooting, testing and appointing BMS and HVAC frameworks and gadgets

• DDC Ladder-Logic style programming

• Reading and understanding mechanical plans and wiring charts

• Coordinating work with different exchanges (ie: circuit repairmen, HVAC experts, handymen)

• Documenting work and strategies

• Properly tending to TCP/IP systems and RS-485 correspondences

• Analyzing and remedying correspondence issues

• Work as per venture courses of events and required procedures

• Work on building locales and follow required security measures

Capabilities: 

• Valid class 5 driver's permit

• Controls Technician, Instrumentation Technician, Electronics Technician or comparable certificate acquired from an authorize instructive organization or meet the proportionate necessities as set up by Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Specialists (SASTT)

• Must have the option to play out the physical prerequisites of the position

• Must be alright with PCs and Microsoft Office programs

• Several years of involvement with the controls field is viewed as a benefit

• Previous involvement in Alerton controls is viewed as a benefit

• Previous involvement in Microsoft Visio is viewed as an advantage

• Previous involvement in DDC, PLC or comparative Ladder-Logic writing computer programs is considered a benefit.
